Hi - and welcome back to IT Solutions from Springborn Staffing.
On a daily basis here at Springborn Staffing we have access to thousands of pre-screened extensively interviewed and qualified candidates that run the gamut of technical and management skill sets.
However as a rule there are a few who we call our Most Placeable Candidates (MPC's). These candidates are differentiated by several criterion (with some exceptions):
1. Quality- Their experience is deeper and better than the average. They have really excelled in their given disciplines and have the objective verifiable results (the subject of a future blog) to prove it.
2. Strong Relationships- Their references give stellar reviews and are often hard to get off the phone singing their praises.
3.Durability- They have a strong and steady work record; with substantial periods of time with each organization on their resumes.
4.Upward Trend -Our MPC's have shown steady (or in some cases meteoric) increases in both technical growth, scope and responsibility. They are now and have always been life long learners.
5. Communication Skills.-They can convey ideas clearly whether written, spoken or in any other manner i.e. PowerPoint, formal presentation etc.
6. Current and Desirable Skill Set - Kind of self-explanatory but our MPC's must have expertise in areas our clients have indicated are of continued interest and are rare in the market.
There are several more and all of the above have of exceptions however, these are the general parameters we look for when representing our candidates to our current and potential clients. It's important we get this right because when we actively market a candidate (those annoying emails and calls you get) we are essentially putting our reputation on the line. We can't take that lightly.
